9/8/24  “Seeing Yourself Through The Eyes of God”

Matthew 5:8-20 KJV

Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Psalm 15:1-2 KJV

Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? [2] He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

Isaiah 32:17 KJV

And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

James 3:18 KJV

And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

Ephesians 4:25 KJV

Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

Matthew 5:9

[9] Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children (sons) of God.

Matthew 5:9 AMPC

Blessed are the peacemakers and maintainers of peace, for they shall be called the sons of God!

1 Peter 3:11 KJV

Let him eschew evil, (turn away from) do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.

Matthew 5:10

[10] Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

1 Peter 3:12-22 KJV

For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. [13] And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? [14] But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye : and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; [15] But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: [16] Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. [17] For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing. [18] For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: [19] By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; [20] Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. [21] The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: [22] Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

Matthew5:11

[11] Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against yours falsely, for my sake.

John 15:20-22 KJV

Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. [21] But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me. [22] If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.

Matthew5:12

[12] Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Rejoice means be happy, be pleased, be delighted. Be delirious, be transported, be beside oneself, with joy,, be in the seventh heaven,  trading on air, be on cloud nine.

Hebrews 11:35-40 KJV

Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: [36] And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: [37] They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; [38] (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth. [39] And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: [40] God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

Matthew5:13

[13] Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Matthew5:14

[14] Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Matthew5:15

[15] Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Matthew5:16

[16] Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew5:17

[17] Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Matthew5:18.

[18] For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Matthew5:19

[19] Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew5:20

[20] For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in (by no means) no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Romans 10:3 KJV

For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Philippians 3:8-11 KJV

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

Matthew 13:44 KJV

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

Philippians 3:9

[9] And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: [10] That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; [11] If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
